Did you know that Byron’s Games was created for kids, by a kid?! Believe it or not, Byron was only 6 years old when he first got the idea to develop Continent Race during a month-long stay at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
The inspiration came when Byron was challenged to keep track of the medal counts for each country during the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. When the Olympics ended, Byron was challenged to create a new game using flags, and thus, Continent Race was born! He immediately realized that he wanted other hospitalized children to have access to this game so they could play something fun AND learn while they recovered. Since then, Byron’s Games has donated over 25,000 games to non-profit organizations around the nation!
